Nadia K. Pervez received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union in 1999. After leaving Cooper Union, she went to graduate school at the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB). She received an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2001 and 2006, respectively, working on microwave electronics. After leaving UCSB she returned to NY; she spent a summer as a clean room manager at Columbia University, and a year as a postdoctoral fellow for the Electrical Engineering Department at Cooper Union working primarily on sustainable development projects. She is currently a postdoctoral research scientist in the Columbia Laboratory for Unconventional Electronics working on organic electronics/photonics.
